Susan is an allied health professional, health services researcher, recovering academic and aspiring entrepreneur. She brings more than twenty years of international health services research, expertise and analysis to HealthWork International where she is driving innovative ways of understanding and shaping the health workforce to better meet the needs of the 21st century.

Chair

With 35+ years of diverse national and international business experience, Murray began his career in Perth as a Chartered Accountant. He later held various commercial and financial reporting roles with prominent US mining companies. Murray founded Retail Food Group, expanding its footprint across seven countries. He has since held executive and board positions in finance, mining, commercial, environmental, academic, government, and sporting sectors.

Chief Operating Officer

Lauren is a lawyer by trade, with more than 17 years working in legal, governance, management and compliance-related roles in the public sector and statutory bodies, including the Australian Taxation Office, Australian Securities and Investments Commission, Crown Law (Queensland), a TAFE and a university. Lauren is also an experienced manager and high level administrator with significant experience in business process improvement and project management, skills she brings to the role of Chief Operating Officer for the HealthWork International group.  

Michelle Vos

Chief Financial Officer

Michelle is a Chartered Accountant with over 16 years of experience working in multiple roles including auditing, commercial analysis, financial management, taxation and financial accounting across various industries.  As Chief Financial Officer for the HealthWork International group, Michelle partners with business leaders to optimize financial operations and to provide effective planning, strategic analysis, and advice on all financial aspects.

Kelli Rixon

General Manager

Kelli has worked within the Australian public health service for 20 years, both in Queensland and the ACT. She is an experienced allied health professional (Accredited Clinical Physiologist: sleep), clinical educator, operations manager, business manager, project manager, and Not-For-Profit Director. Kelli is one of the Founding Directors for the Australian Council for Clinical Physiologists (ACCP) and led the organisation as President from 2019-2023. Governance, profession identity and recognition, and competency development for allied health professions (particularly her own) are very important to Kelli.

Senior Policy Advisor

Dr Carlton has worked in various direct service, policy and regulatory reform roles, in Australian state health and human services departments. She has helped establish the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) and the 15 National Boards. Dr Carlton has worked on a range of international health workforce regulation projects, and holds visiting fellowships with RMIT University, Western Sydney University and Southern Cross University.

Joan is an allied health professional and learning and development specialist with over 20 years experience in the health and higher education sectors. Joan brings educational expertise, creativity and innovation to The Allied Health Academy (TAHA) to support delivering education experiences and fostering communities of practice that connect and empower learners.

Nicki is a registered physiotherapist with over 7 years clinical experience in Australia and the UK. She has completed her Master of Public Health, and is passionate about global health equity and health system improvement. Nicki has extensive experience in relationship management, project design, implementation and evaluation, and project management, which she brings to her role as Research Project Manager for the HealthWork International group.
