HealthWork Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of HealthWork International (HWI) is proud to have supported establishing the Allied Health Assistants’ National Association Ltd (AHANA) as the peak registration body for allied health assistants in Australia. HWI CEO Susan Nancarrow said “The incorporated company will take over the role commenced by the Allied Health Assistant Network of Australia and is the first step in creating a self-regulating professional body recognising the contribution of allied health assistants in the health sector. HWI will support AHANA in this start-up phase by assisting with developing its strategic plan, providing governance direction to its new directors and developing a membership framework to be implemented in the new financial year”. Ben Turnbull, the new CEO of AHANA is “delighted and looking forward to the development and growth that this body will bring to the allied health assistant profession”.
